Our host, Hamburg Airport have kindly organised 3 tours for conference delegates to enjoy pre and post event. Tours are complimentary, however, places are limited. If you would like to attend a tour please specify in the registration form.
A pre-event Airbus Tour is available on Wednesday 9 October from 12:30PM - 5:30PM. Departure will be at 12:30PM from the Elysée Hotel, with a 1 hour transfer each way. Delegates will return before the commencement of the welcome reception. This will include catering and a presentation with the opportunity to ask questions and enter into a discussion with Airbus representatives, followed by a tour of different hangars on the Airbus site. This is definitely worth seeing if you haven't been there before.
Post event tour options are available on Friday 11 October from 3PM to 6PM.
Option 1 - Miniatur Wunderland
Tour of the world’s largest miniature wonderland: https://www.miniatur-wunderland.de/en/. It is one of Hamburg’s most popular attractions. Miniatur Wunderland has a layout size of about 1,500 m². On two whole floors of an old warehouse you will see approx. 260,000 mini figures, 4,300 buildings, 42 planes, 385,000 LEDs, thousands of cars and trains and much, much more. You will marvel at many impressive places from all over the world, including Knuffingen Airport, a mini version of HAM. Until now, Miniatur Wunderland has taken 760,000 hours of construction time. You will not just visit one of Germany’s most popular tourist attractions, but you will also get a lot of background information on our behind-the-scenes tour.
Option 2 - City Tour
Discover all the excitement of Hamburg aboard our tour bus tour that will take you to all of Hamburg’s main attractions. Our guide will tell you everything you need to know about Germany’s second-largest city, its maritime history, current developments and much more. Did you know, for example, that Hamburg has more bridges than Amsterdam and Venice put together? Of course, there will be a few stops to take a closer look at individual sights and take photos. You will also visit the Elbphilharmonie plaza with a stunning view of the historic warehouse district, “Speicherstadt” and the port.
